Lavender is a many-sided plant, it can be used in the field of the medicinal treatments. Even in ancient times, it was commonly used during beauty treatments: people made soap of it, perfumed the bathing water and so on. The popular belief is that lavender expells the damaging spirits. It is known from its healing properties, it has been used for centuries to relieve pain and cramps. Our grandmothers used it to treat insect bites, toothache or injuries caused by fits . During World War II, they used it as an effective wound disinfectant. There is no one, who does not know the strong, yet pleasant and aromatic scent of lavender.
